Leaves in the Garden

Wow! It has been a busy Autumn. My backyard is covered with leaves. I absolutely love them, but Daddy says he needs to rake them. I'm enjoying playing in them and watching them blow in the wind. Actually, Daddy says he won't need to rake them because he thinks I might eat them first. Speaking of eating, did ya hear about me and the rice cereal? I must admit it is a bit bland, but you try a liquid diet for 5 months and you'll take bland too. But, that's not even the whole of it, it gets better; first bananas and then apples. I can't wait to find out what's on the menu for next week. Yum Yum. I've even skyped with Granny and Granddad in England while eating. Besides eating I've been really trying my best to be mobile. I almost got it down. I just can't master the forward motion. Backwards, well that's another story. I can go backwards and I can even do a 180, if i could just go in the direction I'm facing I'll be all set. Don't worry I'll get it, but then I really won't have time to blog.

My First Doll!

Last weekend I went to visit Grammy and Papa Wayno. I went to Baby Doyle's baby shower. Don't tell MaryBeth, but I whispered to him to stay in as long as possible because nothing will ever be as dark and cozy ever again! Grammy and Auntie Kel took me to Target and I got so excited, I pooped all over the trolley! Grammy bought me my first doll. I love looking at her fancy outfit. Sometimes I grab her and try to eat her. We also shopped for school clothes (my Grammy is a really good shopper) I got some new oshkosh overalls. Next week I'm going to school and I can't wait to play with my new friend Evan. I'll bring my doll to share with him.

Eric and Tricia

This weekend was Uncle Eric's and Auntie Tricia's wedding. I had so much fun meeting new people and sleeping in a cabin in the woods. I met all my second cousins and I had a babysitter for the first time. The wedding day seemed like such a long day! I was the best baby and Daddy was the best man. After my Daddy gave a speech I ate and went to sleep. Like Daddy says, I was knackered! (British slang for being tired) Little did I know that all the fun started after dinner! The next day I was shocked to find out that I wasn't included in the music and dancing. Even my Greatmas were dancing the night away. Next wedding, I'm not going to sleep after dinner, I'm staying up to join the fun. I even heard word of a late night camp fire. No worries, I'll show off my moves next time.

Coordination

This morning mom and I took a long nap. I didn't sleep so well last night and woke up to eat every two hours. Will someone fill me in on how to sleep through the night without waking from hunger? I can't quite figure it out. Mom and I got to take a morning nap, but my Daddy is probably having a tired day at work. After my long nap I had a nice relaxing bath. I laugh when the water splashes me in the face, but that's not even the best part. The best is when I get out and I have a cuddle with mom in my hooded towel. I tasted it today (my hooded towel). I think I'm ready to try out some other foods besides breast milk, but mom says I need to wait until I'm six months! That seems like a long time from now so I've been sneaking tastes of things like towels and toys. The doctor says I'm not coordinated enough yet to use my hands to put things in my mouth, but I disagree. Yesterday I put a toy in my mouth and today it was my towel. Mom even got a picture for evidence. See, can't you tell it's my hand under that towel?

Lazy Weekend

Compared to the other 9 weekends of my life, this one was a little laid back. We didn't go anywhere or host any visitors! At times, you could even say I was a bit lazy! I did a lot of napping, I mean a lot of napping! When I was awake, I decided to try on a few of my hats from my hat collection. They're finally starting to fit. My head must be growing and I'm hoping my hair is growing with it or I might look a bit silly. I'm still too young to be going bald. On on a side note, I am looking forward to the wedding and I've been practicing my dance moves. I don't have the Solja Boy dance down yet, but I have been doing a lot of dancing on the kitchen counter. (Picture above is me dancing with Dad) I can get one foot going really good, but the other just sort of stays still and supports me. I'll get it figured out soon. Hope everyone is well and can't wait to see you all this week!

Uncle Andy, Aunt Kate and cousin Bean Visit from the UK

Uncle Andy and Auntie Kate came to visit in VT. Auntie Kate brought Mommy some chocolate from the UK and man was it good! I had some sweet tasting milk all week, not to mention the trip to the Ben and Jerry's factory which also added to my yummy milk. Auntie Kate also showed me how to shop. We went everywhere downtown and to Best Buy. I loved looking at all those huge TVs. I might have been a little overstimulated by the bright lights and noises. We went to the lake front on the 4th and watched the fireworks from the deck at Burlington Bay. I slept through all the fun! Can't wait till Auntie Kate and Uncle Andy have my cousin baby bean. We'll have lots of adventures together!

LBI 2008-My First Beach Holiday

We drove a long way and ended up at this place everyone kept calling LBI. I even got a few shirts from Grammy that said LBI on them. It took me all week, but I finally figured out that LBI was Long Beach Island, New Jersey. There were so many people there; Mommy and Daddy, Autie Kate and Uncle Andy, Auntie Tricia and Uncle Eric, Grammy and Wayno, Auntie Kelly, Great Aunt Jacket and Great Uncle Don, Cousin John and Karina, Cousin "Uncle Mark" and Taryn, Great Aunt Jill and Chris, Cousin Kayla and Hunt and Greatma. We all stayed in Aunt Jacket and Uncle Don's adorable beach house. Everyday, everyone would dress up in these silly suits they called bathing suits and gear up with low lying chairs, books, beach bags, food and beer and they'd leave me in the house with just one person and the dog. By the time they arrived back to the house later that afternoon they were all browner or redder then when they set out that morning. Sometimes they were even a bit tipsy. One day Uncle Eric returned with red stripes on his belly. We had lots of fun and I can't wait to go back in the fall for John and Karina's wedding!

My First Wedding

I thought that the first wedding I'd attend would be Uncle Eric and Auntie Tricia's wedding, but Leah and Aaron beat them to it. They really wanted to get married and they planned a beautiful wedding in just 6 weeks. We had lots of fun dancing and posing for the camera. I especially loved the flowers and meeting Leah. Does she always look so beautiful? What a day in Plymouth!

Pico Beach

I just got back from the Pierce's beach house in Mattapoisett, Ma. I sure did love it there! I had a king sized bed and a bathroom all to myself. Even though I had my own bathroom, I choose to bathe in the kitchen sink because of the spectacular ocean view. Mrs. Pierce and Colleen loved playing with me. We had daily tummy time and lots of good laughs. Mommy put my feet in the sea. The warm water felt good on my toes. It tired me out and I napped in my bathing suit while mommy and Colleen swam (floated). They're such a silly bunch! Can't wait to see them again.
