There's no place like home.

We are fortunate enough to catch these amazing young actors in a wonderful performance of "The Wizard of Oz."  Isla was absolutely starstruck!  Whenever Dorothy would walk down the stage and follow the yellow brick road, Isla would excitedly shout out, "Over here Dorothy over here!"  We sat too far back to get a close up glimpse of Dorothy, but wer're still holding on to  hope that one day we'll get to meet her.  She absolutely loves theatrical events and plays intensely in the days to follow.  As Dorothy was clicking her heals saying, "There's no place like home."  Isla points out, "Actually, there's no place like Grandma's.

big pants!

As us mamas get older and have cesareans, unfortunately there are days when we often neglect in wearing our sexy undies and put on whatever is clean and cozy. I do it without thinking, and often in the rush of the morning we all are dressing and undressing in the same room.  As Isla and Sophs get dressed on my bed, I pull my big pants up and start on my stockings.  

Isla's comment, "Mama, those undies are so big, you don't even need a bra!"

to clarify- these not really my underpants! 

French Cuisine

 Last night we got Chinese food.  I think that in almost 10 years of marriage this is the first time we've ever ordered Chinese food.  Anyhoo, I was heating the leftovers for dinner tonight when Isla walked in and said, "ah no, not French again!" 

I don't know if I'd consider any of the meals I cook French cuisine, but at least she's associating countries with countries! Gotta love my girl! 

Hi, I know I haven't written anything in forever!  I have become inspired to write down the funny things our Isla says- she's always getting a laugh out of us!

This is Isla pretending to have the chicken pox.  It fascinates her to think an illness could give you spots.  I came home from work to find her in her bed with these chicken pox.  She knew though that i wouldn't fall for it because I knew she had "the chicken pox shot".
